Emmanouil Tsardoulias

Dr. Tsardoulias G. Emmanouil has obtained his doctorate and engineering diploma from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Greece, in 2013 and 2007 respectively. His working experience includes participation in the ”Eudoxus” project with the collaboration of Ministry of Education, the EU project RAPP (FP7-ICT-610947) and TekTrain and RELIEF NSRF projects among others. His research interests are focused in Robotics and specifically in Autonomous Robots (ground or aerial). Some of the topics involved are autonomous navigation, SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), multi-robot exploration / full coverage, robotic architectures oriented for the creation of robotic applications and robot-agnostic RESTful APIs. In addition, from 2009 till now, is the technical manager of the artificial intelligence group of the P.A.N.D.O.R.A. and R4A robotics teams, which operate at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. PANDORA has participated in five world-wide RoboCup competitions, achieving the second place in the Autonomy finals twice. Finally, he has published papers in scientific journals as well as presentations in robotics conferences.

Zolotas Christoforos

Mr. Christoforos Zolotas received his Engineering Diploma from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DECE) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2013. During his undergraduate studies, he has been a founding member of the department’s student robotics team P.A.N.D.O.R.A with which he has participated in several national competitions/exhibitions as well as two international competitions, namely Robocup 2008, Suzhou, China and Robocup 2009, Graz, Austria in the real robot rescue league as a Software Architect. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at DECE on the automation of the Software Engineering process. His professional and research interests include Software Engineering, Logic in Computing, Model Driven Engineering, meta-model Engineering and the automation of RESTful Web Services and Robotics Applications development.
